Event Zero today announced the immediate availability of Event Occurrence Version 2.0. This release of Event Occurrence offers advances in event processing, interoperability, security, deployment, and event collection functionality. Currently Event Zero’s event processing network (EPN) provides the full event processing infrastructure, including event capture, processing, analysis and distribution.
In the new release users can integrate with existing and new applications via Application Services and plug-in third-party applications. A range of possibilities exist for connections to the Event Processing Network, for example, an Enterprise Message Bus or a Complex Event Processor (CEP). The processing engine has been evolved to allow hundreds of options for tagging and organizing events. Control over access to individual events and channels have been locked down even further with enhanced security features. The event collection technology has been improved with dynamic updates which allow changes to be made on the fly without any down time.
Event Zero’s software offering can be implemented as software only or as appliances with preloaded software. The appliances are built to support the load needs of processing 10 million or more events per day. Event Zero now also provides a hosted service, which offers customers the ability to deploy large scale Internet-based applications without having to increase their IT infrastructure. Allowing organizations to track and monitor millions of mobile devices/workstations (items?), process them, analyze them and store them in a central repository.
Event Zero continues to push ahead with flexible deployment options by offering VMware deployments of their software suite. VMware solutions allow customers to utilize existing infrastructure investments in an Event Processing Network.
The first users of Event Occurrence 2.0 will be the multiple organizations we have acceptance into our pilot program.
