Event Zero recognizes our responsibility to be a good steward of the natural and physical environment, both as a corporate citizen and as a way to support the company's goals.

Event Zero's sustainability policy is based on the following principles:

 

1. Event Zero will comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and company standards and conduct regular audits as required to verify compliance.
 

2. Event Zero will apply sound environmental management practices where, in our judgment, existing legal requirements are insufficient for our operations.
 

3. Event Zero will consider our potential environmental impacts in our daily business decision-making processes.
 

4. Event Zero will encourage conservation of natural resources, recycling, source reduction and pollution control to ensure cleaner air and water and to reduce landfill wastes. We will share environmental best practices across the company.
 

5. Event zero will monitor emerging issues and keep abreast of regulatory changes, technological innovations and stakeholder interests. Together with partners we will endeavour to develop effective and sustainable solutions to environmental challenges we face in our business activities.
 

6. Event Zero will establish metrics to monitor our environmental performance, and use these to set goals for continuous improvement.
 

7. Event Zero will implement environmental management systems to identify and manage environmental risks, obligations and opportunities.
 

8. Event Zero will actively work with our suppliers, partners and customers to reduce the environmental impacts of our products throughout their life cycle.
 

9. Event Zero will annually review the performance in implementing this policy as a core corporate performance measurement.
 

10. Event Zero will periodically review this policy periodically and update it as needed.

It is the responsibility of both the Event Zero Board and executive management to ensure this policy is effectively communicated, understood and implemented throughout Event Zero.
All Event Zero employees are responsible for understanding the impacts of this policy on their day-to-day activities and are encouraged to apply good environmental stewardship both in and beyond the workplace.

Specific initiatives undertaken by Event Zero in support of its sustainability policy include:

• Use of telepresence and remote access infrastructure to reduce travel requirements for customer engagements
• Purchase of energy rated appliances
• Active monitoring and optimization of on and off site data centre heating, cooling, power consumption
• Smart wiring and sensor driven lighting, heating, cooling in corporate premises
• Preference for renewable type consumables eg paper for printing
• Application of PC fleet power management solution (Greentrac)
• Virtualization of IT infrastructure to reduce power consumption and associated heating, cooling requirements
• Proactive management of PC workstation fleet utilization and power consumption
• Environmental sustainability as a key partnering consideration
