Event Zero’s Event Driven Application (EDA) platform provides customer organizations and systems integrators with the fundamental building blocks for event driven application development. Platform Architecture

The Event Zero EDA platform offers a fully integrated suite of components that provides comprehensive functionality for all of the stages in the event life cycle: capture, process, and respond.

In the Capture component of the Event Zero EDA platform,data is captured from device, system and application sources, filtered, converted to native events, and enriched for transport to the analysis engine. Additional optimization/encryption can be performed for distributed environment network communications.

In the Process component of the Event Zero EDA platform, received events are archived, analyzed for complex event pat terns and parameters of interest, and processed using flexible state management,algorithmic summarization and business rules.New higher-order events may be generated as a result, and can subsequently be processed in the same fashion.

In the Respond component of the Event Zero EDA platform, events and state changes are published to users and applications through either a visual or programmatic response framework. Events are made available to external applications via the publish/ subscribe API.

Application development

 Event Zero’s EDA platform is a Java-based (J2SE) environment which is accessed using a Windows .NET 2.0 design, development, configuration and management tool. All platform components, ranging from data collection
agents and processing rule sets, through to web visualization portals, are created and modified using a single development interface.

Event Zero’s EDA platform supports a number of different application types including those focused on data collection, data analysis, and data interaction. A key differentiator of the Event Zero EDA platform is that many applications can be created purely through the configuration of state, summary and business rules, offering a rapid development cycle for the implementation of new solutions on a common platform.

Through this model, incremental development to support emerging business requirements is directly facilitated, allowing for the re-use of a common data collection and analysis platform across a range of different
